Two Moose Jaw landmarks will be honoured Tuesday in Regina at the 15th annual Lieutenant-Governor's Architectural Heritage Awards of Excellence.

St. Aidan Church and Grayson Hall are being singled out for their amazing heritage aspects. Architectural Heritage Society of Saskatchewan's Joe Ralko says St. Aidan Church is accomplishing a very rare feat at the awards.

"It's actually being honoured in three categories, Adaptive Reuse, Interior Conservation and Sympathetic New Construction. They are being awarded this prestigious prize because of the restoration, rehabilitation and sympathetic new construction which means when they did the addition to the facility, they tried to match it to the original architecture as best they could."

Grayson Hall, also known as the 5th Avenue Mansion, is the other Moose Jaw site being honoured at the presentation. The Butler Family is accepting the Long-Term Stewardship Award for their years of work. "Grayson Hall was built for William Grayson in 1911 and over the years it has been a variety of uses but overall, Grayson Hall has been just an absolutely beautiful place to visit and to see in Moose Jaw."
