The new Community Plan for the City of Moose Jaw will have to wait a bit longer after members of City Council decided they want the public to have a chance to see it first.

The plan was on the agenda for Monday night's Executive Committee meeting. A plan that indicates where the city should be heading over the course of the next several years and even decades. It outlines potential projects, such as new bike lanes, and will be a reference for council policy on development.

A motion to send the plan to council for a first reading next week was defeated since it was not supported by the majority of council.  Darin Chow, Brian Swanson and Dawn Luhning all agreed the matter needed more public input.

The City Administration will now figure out when the open house will be held.
