The Regina Police Service recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen from Moose Jaw on Sunday night.

It was reported that there were two occupants in the vehicle when it was taken and the vehicle was heading towards Regina. Regina police found the vehicle, unoccupied, parked on the 1000 block of Princess Street.

Police set up a perimeter around the area and the man driving the vehicle was seen running from the area. Patrol officers, with help from the canine unit, located the man on the 1000 block of Queen Street and arrested him.

Upon further investigation, a male youth suspect was also arrested and taken into custody.

Lyndon Maynard Gambler, 33, of Regina has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Justice Act, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Gambler made his first court appearance in Provincial Court and the boy made his first appearance in Provincial Youth Court on Monday morning.
