The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign will be back in Moose Jaw November 24th through December 23rd, and they’re looking for people to attend the kettles.

The Salvation Army will have six kettle spots in the city, with some locations including Moose Jaw Co-Op, Superstore, and Walmart. Volunteers are needed for two–hour shifts between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

“It's kind of just a polite way of saying thank you and encouraging people to donate during the Christmas season,” said Major Clarence Ingram with Moose Jaw’s Salvation Army.

Donations collected are used to assist people during the holidays. “[Donations go] to help people in need during the Christmas season with Christmas hampers toys, that sort of thing, and also some winter relief for immediately after Christmas."

Monetary donations can be made at the kettles once they’re distributed, or in person at their office at 175 1st Ave NE. Some kettle locations this year will have a tap option, where you will be able to donate with a debit or credit card.

If you’d like to volunteer, contact the Moose Jaw Salvation Army at 306-692-5899.
