The government of Saskatchewan has announced six new cases of COVID-19 in the province, with the cases located in the far northeast, Saskatoon, central west, central east, and Regina zones, the location of the 6th case is pending.

Of the 1,676 cases reported in Saskatchewan so far, 59 are considered active.

One person is in hospital receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon. 

Saskatchewan Health Authority is also informing the public that an individual who tested COVID-19 positive visited the following businesses in Regina when the individual was likely infectious on the following dates:

  • North YMCA, Rochdale Ave – Sept. 6 from 12:30-2 p.m.
  • Regina Airport and Enterprise at Airport: Pick up Sept. 7 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Drop off Sept. 7 from 7-8 p.m.
  • Taylor Lexus Toyota Body Shop – Sept. 8 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • AK Tire, 2220 7th Ave – Sept. 9 from 2:15-2:30 p.m.
  • Harbour Landing Walmart – Sept. 9 from 3:30-4 p.m.

Of the 1,676 cases in the province:

  • 257 cases are travellers;
  • 839 are community contacts (including mass gatherings);
  • 498 have no known exposures; and
  • 82 are under investigation by local public health
