Fans at Ross Wells Park on Tuesday night were treated to an offensive show as a combined 23 runs were scored, as the Moose Jaw Miller Express fell just short to the Swift Current 57s 12-11.

Hudson Barrett stole the show for the Millers as he went three-for-four, driving in four runs, picking up his 15th home run of the season, while adding a double and triple.

Moose Jaw moves to 20-15 on the season and will look to end their losing streak Wednesday night as they travel south to Weyburn to take on Beavers.

In Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League play on Wednesday night all three Moose Jaw teams are in action. The 18U AAA Canucks host the Saskatoon Cubs in a doubleheader at Ross Wells Park starting at 6:30 p.m. The 18U AA’s travel to Regina to battle the Blue Jays at 8:30 p.m. And the 15U AAA Canucks host the Regina Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. at Blackwell Diamond.

The U17A Ice is taking on the Lumsden Cubs on Wednesday night in the Regina Minor Softball League Final at 6:30 p.m.

In Moose Jaw Minor Girls Fastball on Tuesday night the U11 quarterfinals saw Vipers take down the Davidson Red Sox 24-23 to move onto to play the Fury in the semi-finals on Wednesday night. In the other quarter final action the U11 Explosion outlasted the Fire’n’Ice 25-20 to advance to the semi-finals on Wednesday night as well, taking on the Magic.

The U13 final had the hometown Comets battle the Lafleche Lightning. Though a strong comeback effort by the Comets the Lightning held on for the 9-8 win to be crowned the 2022 U13 League Champions.

The U15 Blazers and Havoc will battle it out on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. on Diamond 1 in the league finals.

Moose Jaw golfer Chris Knoop shot a 2-under 69 yesterday in round one of the Golf Saskatchewan Men's Mid Amateur Championship in Prince Albert.  He's one shot behind the leader Brett Henry.  The action continues on Wednesday.

The annual Women Fore Women Golf Tournament is all set for Saturday, August 20th at the local Hillcrest Golf Club. The Hillcrest Ladies Golf League is hosting and raising money to support young women in sports with scholarships for their post-secondary education.

NHL free agency opens up on Wednesday.  Johnny Gaudreau has informed the Calgary Flames that he will not be returning to the team.  In Pittsburgh, the Penguins re-signed 16-year veteran Evgeni Malkin to a 4-year deal worth $24.4 million.

Toronto Blue Jays were winners on Tuesday night....4-3 over the Phillies, the two teams will battle it out again on Wednesday at the Rogers Centre.
