With the Association Communautaire Fransaskoise de Moose Jaw’s 7th annual Tintamarre Parade, you’ll see some road closures and changes to transit routes this morning. 

From 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., closed roads include Athabasca Street East, Main Street North, Ominica Street West, and 3rd Avenue Northwest. 

Transit detours and delays will include Route 1 Athabasca East, Route 2 Sunningdale, and Route 3 Atha West-Thatcher. The City of Moose Jaw has outlined the detours as follows: 

 

Route 1  

Detouring via Fairford St W, 5th Ave NW, and Caribou St W, before reconnecting at Caribou St W/1st Ave NW with the regular route 

Route 2  

Outbound from the downtown core, detouring via Fairford St E, 3rd Ave NE, and Caribou St, before reconnecting at Main St N/Caribou St E with the regular route 

Inbound to downtown core, detouring via Caribou St E, 3rd Ave NE, and Fairford St E, before reconnecting at Main St N/Fairford St E with the regular route 

Route 3  

Outbound from the downtown core, detouring via Fairford St E, 3rd Ave NE, and Caribou St E, before reconnecting at Main St N/Caribou St E with the regular route 

Inbound to downtown core, detouring via 5th Ave NW and Fairford St E, before reconnecting at Main St N/Fairford St E with the regular route 

 

The parade, a celebration of French culture in Canada, begins at Crescent Park and ends at École Ducharme.
