JOHN WARREN PRICE

John Warren Price of Moose Jaw, SK passed away on January 30, 2019. John was born May 30, 1926 in Moose Jaw to Warren and Lillian Price of the Clayhill District, west of Boharm. He attended Clayhill School and Moose Jaw Technical School. At the age of 16, John took over the family farm and farming truly became his passion, farming well into his 80’s. John enjoyed marksmanship, curling, engaging in lively debates over coffee with his friends at Caronport.  In his later years he enjoyed travelling to British Columbia and the American Plains States. He met Mary Young and in 1963 they were married and together they raised two sons. Predeceased by his wife Mary; sister Blanche and her husband Eric; infant brother Murray and infant grandson Kyle. John will be sadly missed by his sons Warren (Yameen) of Toronto and Matthew (Cathy) of Moose Jaw; grandchildren Sean and Carter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Family thanks the employees of Extendicare for their compassionate care of John. A time of viewing and visitation will take place on Monday February 4, 2019 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at W. J. Jones Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:30 PM at W. J. Jones Chapel, 106 Athabasca St E., Moose Jaw, SK. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Heath Foundation.  In living memory of John, a memorial planting will be made by W.
