Mike Tkalac, 84, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on November 11, 2017 due to complications after having had a stroke. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. At Mike's request there will be no funeral service. Mike was born in Yugoslavia on September 8, 1933.  After fulfilling his military duty, he immigrated to Canada in September 1958.  His journey was hard and lonely, and he finally settled in Saskatchewan. He met and married his wife Mary on November 25, 1961 and started their family. Mike started working with the railroad and through his hard work, he progressed to building construction and eventually owning a successful  construction business. He enjoyed listening to his Yugoslavian music as well as making his daily visits to the local bars and clubs for coffee and visiting.  Mike is predeceased by his parents as well as his wife Mary (1998). He is survived by his two children, Laura (Wayne) Struthers of Brandon, MB and John (Glenda) Tkalac of Moose Jaw, SK, as well as his four grandchildren, Eric and Michelle Struthers, Michael and Paige Tkalac, and two great-grandchildren, Keegan and Caitlyn Tkalac. Arrangements are entrusted to Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, SK.
