A total of 259 runners headed for the trails, as the Moose Jaw Invitational cross country running meet took place at Wakamow Park yesterday afternoon.

Runners were from Grade 4 up to grade 12 and came from as far away as Assiniboia and Swift Current for the meet.

For the elementary school divisions, the peewee girls was by Celeste Bayly of Palliser Heights, the midget girls was won by Ellie Panko of Lindale, the junior girls was won by Raela Packet of Lafleche and Nikolina Kapovic of Palliser Heights won the senior girls division.

The peewee boys division was won by Lex Mohle of Sunningdale, bantam boys was won by Nathan Rhinas of Sunningdale, midget boys was won by Brody Therrien of Sunningdale, Max Simmons took of Sunningdale took the junior boys crown and Ryder Petersen of Mossbank claimed the senior boys titlte.

In the high school girls, midget girls was won by Jadyn Palaschuk of Central, junior girls was won by Akoul Riak of Central and senior girls was won by Alyssa Roney of Peacock.

For the high school boys, Carter Michaluk of Swift Current won the midget boys, Liam Vargo won the junior boys and Julien Gauthier of Gravelbourg won the senior boys.
