The cotton candy, midway rides, carnival games and everything else that comes along with the Hometown Fair will be put off for another year.

Moose Jaw Exhibition Company Board of Directors have officially cancelled the event for the second year in a row, due to the pandemic.

The annual three-day fair has been preceded by the parade, in June every year.

Thursday afternoon, the board made the official announcement, adding that the parade won't be held this year either.

The statement read: “We hope everyone stays safe and well, and that we see you at the 2022 Hometown Fair.”
