It was a strong month of April when it came to building permits for the City of Moose Jaw. 

The city issued 21 permits with project values of over $8.1 million. 

Three commercial permits were issued in April worth $1.34 million. This included a $1.26 million new construction of a retail complex at 1935 Stadacona St. W. 

There were three institutional and government permits issued with a total value $30,711. This included the new construction of an outdoor recreation building worth $15,000 at 505 Lillooet St. W. 

Fifteen residential permits were issued last month worth over $6.7 million including new construction of a home on 1690 Marshal Cres. worth $750,000. 

The city issued 14 more permits compared to April of 2023. It topped the value of the projects by $1.35 million. 

Year-to-date, the city has issued 55 permits worth $11.5 million. That’s 27 more permits compare to this same time period last year. 

There were four new dwelling permits this April for 30 units compared to two new dwelling in April of 2023 with two units. 

There were no demolition permits issued last month.
