The Moose Jaw Novice Mustangs lacrosse team were a dominate force all season long, and they capped their season off with a league and provincial championship.

Mustangs coach Barry Stewart talks about the team,"It's just a incrediable group of kids and the year's been pretty amazing for all of them.  I just can't say enough about the kids and the way they have performed this year.  The ability to listen and learn is really aparent in these kids.  The hunger for knowledge, they're willing to try new things.  The big thing that we teach here at Moose Jaw Lacrosse is we call it stick in hand and what that means is the more you have your stick in your hand that's how you become a player like David Mitchell."

Stewart tells us about their provincial win, "Earlier in the year we played the field provincials in Regina, they went undefeated, which is the second year in a row for these guys.  Then for the box lacrosse provincial championships we went up to Saskatoon.  We had a kid step up to the plate, Cody Statham, I think his goals against average was 0.75.  He only had three goals scored against him in the tournament."

There is no National championships so the team has had their windup and are now looking towards next season.
