Are you in the majority?

Recent surveys found most in Canada are looking forward to the time they can be vaccinated against COVID-19.  The latest numbers from Leger and the Association of Canadian Studies found 63% of us will get the vaccine, if it's free, as it becomes available.

When will that be?  We don't know yet.  Some indications are that it'll be next summer.

We are learning the National Advisory Committee on Immunization is well into the planning stages to roll it out and prioritization is a part of that.

The committee is making it clear those at high risk of severe illness and/or death from COVID-19 will be first.  They will include senior citizens with chronic health conditions and our people who are most likely to pass the virus on to those at high risk - health-care professionals and the people who look after our seniors in assisted living and care homes.

The committee's plan will also make police and firefighters a high priority along with a number of others with living or working conditions that put them at high risk, including those who can't access health care as easily as others.

It sounds to me like we're on the right track.  I just wish we could reach our destination a little faster.
