I'm not going to say I'm sorry but I would like to clarify an item from the daily commentary yesterday.

I was complaining about the various increases we're facing as property owners, spelled out in the City of Moose Jaw's operating budget.

One of the hi-lites from the news release reads, "Concrete and Asphalt Crushing - potential to save expenditures and generate revenue."

I suggested we use that material to upgrade our deteriorating back alleys.

Well, turns out, if I'd have done a little reading, I would have known that is, in fact, part of the plan.  The December 4th budget report on the crushed material indicates most will be used within the city, including  "limited application in back lanes and gravel roads."

The report also states we can sell some of that material with proceeds "offsetting Capital needs in the Water Utility."

Thanks to Moose Jaw City Hall for pointing this out for me.  It's appreciated.

We'll all be watching for those back alley upgrades.
