Moose Jaw's Eric Soar has rejoined the Minot State Beavers men's hockey team for the rest of the 2023-2024 season. 

The defenseman played 139 games over four seasons with the Beavers. He helped Minot State to an American Collegiate Hockey Association national championship in the 2022-2023 season, Minot State's third national title. 

Soar scored 15 goals, including three game-winners and 66 assists, over his first four years with Minot State. 

He will be back on the ice for exhibition games against Simon Fraser University this weekend. 

He's joined on the roster by fellow Saskatchewan products Payton Jerome of Regina, Reece Henry of Regina, Reid Arnold of Yorkton, Walker Jerome of Regina and Trenton Curtis of Bethune,  

Soar played his minor hockey with the U15 AA Warriors before playing his U18 AAA hockey with the Notre Dame Argos. He spent time with the Nipawin Hawks, Melville Millionaires and Weyburn Red Wings in the SJHL before joining Minot State University. He also represented Canada at the World Cup of University Hockey in 2023.
