The weekend is upon us. Here are five things to keep you busy over the next couple of days:

1. Farmers' markets, Saturday

There are a couple of farmers' markets starting up this weekend.

The Homegrown Market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 400 block of Langdon Crescent. Meanwhile, the Wakamow Valley Farmers Market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kiwanis River Park.

2. Miller Express baseball, Saturday

The Moose Jaw Miller Express hit the ball diamonds for their home opener this weekend. They host the Weyburn Beavers Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ross Wells Park.

3. Free tennis, Saturday

Get in the swing of things with the Moose Jaw Tennis Club.

They are offering free playing time for the next three Saturdays (May 27, June 3 and June 10) from 1 to 5 p.m. at the tennis courts at Crescent Park.

Tennis racquets will be supplied for those who don't have them and members will be on hand to show people the basics of the game.

4. World Para Ice Hockey Championships, Sunday

The World Para Ice Hockey Championships get underway on Sunday at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Czechia meets Korea at 11 a.m., Italy takes on China at 3 p.m. and Germany faces Norway at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at Sasktix.ca or the Moose Jaw Events Centre Box Office.

5. Pancake breakfast, Sunday

To kick off the World Para Ice Hockey Championships, the Moose Jaw Shrine Club is hosting a pancake breakfast at the entrance of the Moose Jaw Events Centre from 9 to 11 a.m.

Anyone who purchases a pancake will receive a free ticket to the Czechia vs. Korea opening game (while supplies last).
