Smoke from forest fires burning in northern B.C. will be blowing across Saskatchewan this afternoon leading to poor air quality and reduced visibility.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says, ‘a band of wildfire smoke is moving southwards through Saskatchewan. This band will bring 4 to 8 hours of poor air quality and reduced visibility as the smoke moves through.’

Conditions are expected to improve in central Saskatchewan Saturday evening and in the southern parts of the province Sunday morning.

The full air quality statement can be read here.
