A GoFundMe fundraiser has raised nearly $50,000 and counting for the family of the victims of the Davidson house fire last weekend.

The page was organized by Jennifer Pratt and Kelsey VandenHoek, childhood friends of Kristyne Klassen, who lost her family and home in the fire.

According to the page’s description, the fire took the lives of Klassen’s three children Andrew, William and George and her parents Pauline and Michael Woodcock.

“Our hearts are with Kristyne, Tom and the rest of the family. No parents should have to endure burying their child. There is no measure to the loss and devastation that is having to lay your entire family to rest. We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial burden of funeral costs through the generosity of others,” the GoFundMe page reads.

As of Friday morning, the page has raised over $49,000 of its $50,000 goal.

According to the Saskatchewan RCMP, police and fire were called to the fire around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday in Davidson.

An 80-year-old man and 81-year-old woman were removed from the house but were pronounced deceased at the Davidson Hospital.

After the blaze was put out, authorities found the remains of three children. The RCMP did not release any names. Police say the fire was not suspicious in nature.
