Doctors, health care professionals, and others will gather at the Union Hospital at noon to try and pressure the provincial government into making a commitment to the facility.

We work in the hospital everyday, we see the need and we know the urgency.

That from local doctors and the Moose Jaw Health Foundation as they call on the province to make a commitment to planned upgrades to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. An information rally is being planned for Tuesday and they hope you can lend your voice to the call on the province for a start date.

Moose Jaw City Council has already approved a levy on each household to help fund construction. It's the provincial government that can't seem to commit to the funding.

Moose Jaw North MLA Glenn Hagel explains the hold up.

"The Minister of Health Len Taylor was here and met with City Council a few weeks ago and advised that the Moose Jaw Union Hospital is a high priority and we expect to see funds to begin that project in either the upcoming budget in the spring of '08 or the following one."

An information rally will be held the main lobby of the hospital over the noon hour Tuesday.
