The Heartland Hospice capital campaign to raise one million dollars for expanded hospice care in Moose Jaw has received a $25,000 donation from the Medavie Foundation.  

The donation places the Medavie Foundation as Investor level donors, which will see their business name hung in stained glass as a sponsor of the Family room in the hospice wing. 

“Helping to provide compassionate end of life care is an extension of Medavie’s culture of caring for our communities. The Medavie Foundation is grateful for the opportunity to help comfort our neighbours in Moose Jaw with the supportive care they receive at Heartland Hospice.” Says Andrea Elliott, Director, Social Responsibility and the Medavie Foundation. 

Medavie will have representatives in attendance for the upcoming Heartland Hospice’s Spurs and Stilettos Cabaret Fundraiser.  

Heartland Hospice collaborates with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Ministry of Health to provide patient and family-centered palliative care hospice care. The capital campaign’s will renovate a portion of Pioneer Lodge into a hospice wing with 3 hospice rooms, a family room, a sacred space, and a private entry. Construction will start in the next couple of months will the aim of completing the renovation this fall.
