Most of southern Saskatchewan has been hit with a surge of winter in the way of an Alberta Clipper bringing with it blowing snow and gusty winds, making area highway slick and reducing visibility. 

Below is an update on area highways as of 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning:

Highway 1 eastbound to Regina: Winter driving conditions, with good visibility and blowing and swirling snow. Conditions do worsen from Belle Plaine to Regina, as visibility is reduced along with icy and slippery sections

Highway 1 westbound to Swift Current: Winter driving conditions, with good visibility and blowing and swirling snow. Visibility is reduced from Parkbeg to Swift Current as visibility is reduced, with icy and slippery sections and drifting snow. 

Highway 2 north to Chamberlain: Winter driving conditions, with good visibility and blowing and swirling snow.

Highway 2 south to Assiniboia: Motorists can expect winter driving conditions, snow drifts along the highway, and reduced visibility.
