A big congratulations to the Assiniboia Rockets boys volleyball team, who went undefeated on their home court last weekend to take the gold medal and become the 3A Boys Provincial champions. They would defeat Osler in the gold-medal game. Central and Vanier wouldn't have the same luck at the 4A Boys provincials in Meadow Lake. Central would fall in the quarterfinals, while Vanier fell in their bronze medal game.

In the NHL on Monday Toronto would take down Detroit 4-2, and Edmonton was 4-3 overtime winners against Florida on home ice.
