Santa Claus is coming to town on Dec. 3.

The Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club’s 13th annual Santa Claus Parade will be taking place in downtown Moose Jaw starting at 6 p.m.

Co-chair Kirk Olson outlined this year’s parade route.

“The lineup will start at the Town N Country Mall. The parade will go down Main Street and turn at High Street and end up at the Moose Jaw Events Centre for the Lights On Ceremony. At this time, everyone can get pictures and Mr. and Mrs. Claus and they can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies,” he said.

While the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank will not be at the parade, donations for the food bank will be taken during the Lights On Ceremony.

Application forms are now available for those wanting to take part in the parade. However, there are a couple of rules when it comes to floats.

“We do not want anybody to have any Santa Clauses on their float. We only want our Santa Claus and that’s it. They need some kind of Christmas decorations on their floats because we’ve had it before when people show up and they have no decorations,” Olson said.

Those interested in entering a float in the parade can get an application form by emailing the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce at chamber@mjchamber.com
