A 26-year-old man who was charged following a single-vehicle accident on February has had his case moved to Drug Treatment Court.

Carson Lemieux was arrested after a vehicle rolled over on the zero block of Thatcher Drive East.

Upon arrival, police found imitation Glock pistols and quantities of cocaine, Xanax and codeine with an estimated street value of $15,000.

Lemieux is facing several charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, weapons offences and possession of proceeds from crime.

Drug treatment courts use a delayed sentencing model that allows participants to receive a reduced sentence if they complete a one-year drug treatment program that is monitored by the court.

Lemieux will make his first appearance in Drug Treatment Court on May 18 at 2 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Provincial Court.
