On Sunday night, the Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a structure fire that broke out on the east side of the King Crescent area of the city.

Moose Jaw Fire Chief, Rod Montgomery was able to provide some information regarding the blaze.

"Smoke and flames were showing so they attacked quickly from the outside. Crews were able to get the fire knocked down quickly upon arrival," says Montgomery. "The power and gas were shut off to the building by Sask Power and Sask Energy."

He notes that there was no one home at the time of the fire, and reports that none of his firefighters were injured while battling the blaze.

Chief Montgomery adds that their fire inspectors are on-scene, investigating what caused the fire, but noted that further updates will be provided once they become available.
