Moose Jaw’s Public Library (MJPL) has two programs gearing up to help library patrons celebrate Earth Day this April 22nd, including an Earth Day Storytime and a gardening session featuring Gail Fennell from Nature Regina.
The Earth Day Storytime is Saturday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m. for ages two and up, while A Gathering of Prairie Gardeners with Gail Fennell is Saturday, April 27 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. It is a drop-in program open to all ages.
The expansion of French language programming at the library continues with L’heure du conte (French storytime) on Mondays at 10:30 a.m., April 8 and 22 for ages 0-5.
On April 11, participants in the MJPL’s French-speaking ‘digital storytelling’ workshops will showcase their final projects in the in MJPL Theatre at 7 p.m. The workshops were a collaboration with Radio Canada – Saskatchewan, facilitated by bilingual video journalist Nicole Lavergne-Smith.
Lastly, April is the Saskatchewan Library Association’s ‘One Book, One Province’ month. Author Jennifer Wallace’s book Miss G and Me is the 2024 Saskatchewan selection, and Wallace will host a book reading and Q&A at the MJPL on Friday, April 5 from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
