A motor vehicle collision that took place on Thursday has led to multiple charges for attempted murder.

Police responded to the reported vehicle collision at the intersection of Thatcher Drive East and Highway 1 at 6:15 p.m. yesterday.

Upon investigation of the two pick-up trucks involved, police determined that one of the trucks intentionally rear-ended the other pick-up truck at a high rate of speed.

Following the collision, it’s alleged that the male then assaulted the driver with a baseball bat.

There were three people in the vehicle that was hit, and they were all transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries. Police say the accused and three victims were known to one another.

A 41-year-old man is remanded in Regina Correctional Centre facing three counts of Attempted Murder, and he will appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court at a later date.

Anyone with video footage of the collision is asked to provide it to Moose Jaw Police to assist in the investigation.
