Moose Jaw Police responded to 45 calls for service.

10:22 am – 800 Block Main St N – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties over a vehicle not being serviced properly. Police explained that it was a civil matter between the two parties.

10:57 am – 0 Block Fairford St W – Harassing Calls – Persons were harassing a complainant in regards to child custody issues. Police went over options with the complainant.

11:06 am – 0 Block Fairford St W – Dispute – A person was receiving harassment from another person. Police spoke with the offending person. The situation was mediated between the parties involved.

11:47 am – 1600 Block Admiral Cres – Assistance to Person – Police received a call about a person stating they did not feel safe. Police attended to the residence and spoke with the complainant. They assisted with fixing a phone to help with calling out.

11:59 am – 300 Block Diefenbaker Dr – Suspicious Occurrence – Persons called the police stating they found crystal meth in a room. Police attended and assisted with obtaining the drugs for destruction.

12:28 pm – 0 Block Caribou St W – 911 Call – A call came through with no one speaking from a payphone. The police spoke to the manager of nearby store, who stated no one was by the payphone in question, and no emergency appeared to be occurring.

12:46 pm – 200 Block High St W – Dispute – A complainant felt they were being harassed by another person in the building. Police spoke with the complainant and advised that it’s in fact a landlord/tenant situation, and they should speak with the landlord in regards to the situation.

12:49 pm – Main St N at Hochelaga St W – MVA – There was a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries. Approximately $20,000 of damage was done, and there were two tows and one charge for failing to stop.

1:05 pm – 0 Block Daisy Cres – Harassing Calls – An individual was receiving calls from what appears to be a scam company ‘FDR,’ telling the complainant that they owe money when they don’t. Police advised the complainant that it was a scam and to block all numbers calling.

1:17 pm – 600 Block Main St N – Suspicious Vehicle – A vehicle was parked for over 1.5 hours with a dog inside. Police attended and found the dog to not be in distress, so no police action was required.

2:10 pm – 400 Block Ominica St E – Fire Call – Police assisted the fire department with a structure fire.

2:36 pm – 500 Block 9th Av SW – Vehicle Seizure – A vehicle was pulled over and the driver was found to have a suspended licence and to be SGI impoundable. The vehicle was seized for 30 days.

3:10 pm – 500 Block Fairford St W – Theft Under – A person on a bike stole a bag of recyclables. Police did not locate the subject described. Approximately $20 was lost.

4:42 pm – 600 Block Main St N – Found Property – A cell phone was found in a parking lot and turned over to police. The owner picked it up later in the day.

5:27 pm – 1200 Block Athabasca St E – Traffic Bylaw – A complainant stated that there were trucks illegally parked in the area. Police are to monitor the area.

6:33 pm – 1300 Block 6th Av NW – Suspicious Occurrence – A complainant stated it appeared someone was pulling a prank by burying a car with snow. It was later found that parking blocks were put in the way of the vehicle as well. They wanted it reported to police in case the vehicle had damage.

6:55 pm – 0 Block Avens Rd – Theft – A person took items from a complainant and took off with their vehicle. The complainant just wanted the items back and the person who left spoken to in regards to the situation. Police mediated the situation.

9:00 pm – 800 Block 4th Av SW – Assault – A person called 911 in regards to being on the receiving end of an assault. Police attended and spoke with the complainant, who was too intoxicated to provide a statement. Both parties were spoken to and agreed to separate for the night.

12:06 am – 900 Block Vaughan St – Noise Bylaw – A complainant stated that someone was outside revving an engine trying to move a trailer. The individual wanted them spoken to and to have it all shut down during the night, as it was becoming an ongoing problem.

1:44 am – 600 Block Coteau St W – Breach of Recognizance – A 911 call was received about a dispute. Police attended to find intoxicated persons. One person was on a clause to not consume alcohol. This person was brought to cells and is to be charged with breach of recognizance.
