A large donation was made to Providence Place this week, as they celebrate their 20th year of operation.

CEO Paul Nyhof explains how that money will affect their budget.

"It's going to go into the foundation, and typically the foundation has helped purchase needed capital supplies or to purchase training or other programs to help residents life at Providence Place. It will form part of our core investments, which are usually used fulfill the capital and environmental needs of Providence Place."

Nyhof already has some specific ideas in place for the money.

"Certainly we have invested money into our kitchens to improve the meal experience. We are a 20 year old building and are starting to notice that with some of our infrastructure. We are getting to the end of time with our windows and challenges with roofing. We going to asses the most important needs and do whats best for Providence Place."

$275,000 was donated from the Knights of Columbus, Women’s Auxiliary as well as volunteers from Providence Place.
