After showers Thursday morning and sunny skies for the afternoon, another set of showers arrives to dump rain and hail on the Moose Jaw area.

The showers Thursday morning were all we were supposed to get but Mother Nature in Saskatchewan does what she wants as another set of showers moved in to end the day bringing our totals to 9mm for Thursday in Moose Jaw.

Checking in with our Rain Watcher Ray Francis just north of Moose Jaw, he says they were hit pretty hard at 5 o'clock. "It lasted about 15 minutes and created lakes in the yard and that was also associated with 5 minutes of pea sized hail. We're still unsure if we've suffered any crop damage because we've been unable to get out and check. Then we had a second shower at about 7 o'clock and the two showers together produced about 7/10ths of an inch of rain."

That works out to about 18mm of moisture for the day. Other totals include 3mm in Broadview, 4 in Estevan, and 3 in Regina.
