Following delays due to unforeseen issues with the primary and secondary engines late last month, the Riverhurst Ferry is now in operation.

The ferry was set to resume summer operations at the end of June after repairs and rehabilitation work on the hull when the engine issues arose.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways said they thank users for their patience and encourage them to check the Highway Hotline prior to travelling for the most up-to-date information on ferry operations.

In a previous press release issued June 25, the Ministry said a tender was put out for a new main and spare engine for the ferry, with an expected installation date before the 2025/26 season.
