A severe thunderstorm has made its way to Moose Jaw.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area. 

Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and move eastward.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury, and severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions in the atmosphere are favorable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following:

  • Large hail.
  • Damaging winds.
  • Torrential rainfall.
