The Next Gen Car Club is holding their first-ever show and shine at Tatawa Park on Sunday, with proceeds going to Moose Jaw Humane Society.

Not only will it be the car club’s first show and shine, with the repairs to the Seventh Avenue bridge, this is one of the first events in the park in nearly five years.

Jaideep Singh, one of the event organizers, said the support from the community has been overwhelming.

“Moose Jaw is a great community and even local businesses support us. They reached out to us and ask us if you need any help with money or if you need any help giving away stuff for the Moose Jaw Humane Society, anything for charity,” he said.

Singh explained why the car club decided to donate the proceeds to the humane society.

“Moose Jaw Humane Society, as we believe, does not get much attention, so that's why we chose Moose Jaw Humane Society for our donation.”

There is no pre-registration for the event. Registration will take place on Sunday beginning at 4 p.m. at the park and the show and shine will run until 9 p.m.

There will be a DJ, food vendors, and a number of contests including best car, best exhaust, loudest bass, and lowest car.

Following the show and shine, they are visiting the participants for a sunset cruise up Main Street starting around 9:30 p.m.
