It’s going to be an exciting weekend for car enthusiasts in Moose Jaw.

The second annual Little Chicago Show and Shine will be taking place downtown during the day. Following that will be the Moose Jaw Shrine Club’s Car Raffle Extravaganza at Murray GM in the evening.

The car raffle extravaganza car show begins at 5 p.m. with a cruise night starting at 6.

“It’s going to be a great night for charity and a great night for celebrating maybe the last couple weeks of summer and just enjoying being around people that love cars, music and helping children,” said Shrine Club member Aaron Ruston.

This year, the Shrine Club is raffling off a 1998 Corvette Daytona Pace Car. Under the hood, the car is an LS1 350 with 345 horsepower. It is a six-speed with a T-top.

Ruston said they will be down at the Little Chicago Show and Shine with the Corvette selling tickets.

“The car is going to be there throughout the day at the downtown association’s Little Chicago Car Show. We’re going to have guys with terminals there. You can buy them straight off there and, of course, at our car show that night,” Ruston said.

Tickets will be sold right up until the car is raffled off at 9:15 p.m. Tickets at $20 each, five for $50 and 20 for $100. There is also a second-place prize of $2,000 and a third-place prize of $1,000.

Tickets for a raffle can also be purchased on the Moose Jaw Shrine Club’s website. Proceeds from the raffle go to the Shriners children’s charity to help sick children.
