South Hill is getting a new school, and the public is being asked for their suggestions for a name.

“We definitely value the community's input. A new school in the community of Moose Jaw is exciting for all of us, not just the Prairie South students, parents, and staff. We look forward to hearing from all of our stakeholders that have a potential name for the new school.” says PSSD Superintendent of Learning Amanda Olson.

“We’re really excited, as of the end of the day yesterday we already had 50 responses to the survey. So, we’re just looking forward to seeing many more.”

Students at Westmount and Empire schools will submit their name ideas through an in-school survey.

The new joint-use school is set to replace Empire and Westmount schools and Sacred Heart from the Prairie South School Division (PSSD) and Holy Trinity Catholic School Divisions respectively.

The survey for the new school's name is open until February 23rd at 1:00 and can be found on the Prairie South School Division Website, Facebook, and Instagram pages.
