Over the course of their six-game winning streak, the Moose Jaw Warriors had mounted their share of third-period comebacks, but the script was flipped on them on Saturday night. The Warriors surrendered three goals in the third period on their way to a 5-3 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers at Co-op Place, splitting their weekend home-and-home series. The Warriors will get a week of practice to fine-tune their game before a pair of games at the Hangar next weekend against Prince Albert on Friday and Red Deer on Saturday.

The Moose Jaw Winmar Warriors went into overtime but came up short 5-4 to the Notre Dame Hounds. The Warriors are in Saskatoon to take on the Contacts on Wednesday.

Over the weekend, the Moose Jaw Koseikan Judo Club participated in the Western Canada Kat-ah Championships and the Sask Open Judo Tournament in Regina Fieldhouse.

The 2024 Moose Jaw Carpet One Mavericks Classic was held over the weekend, the U9 Moose Jaw Purple Mavericks won silver.

The Superbowl is set! The San Francisco 49ers beat the Detroit Lions 34-31, while the Kanas City Chiefs took down the Ravens 17-10. The two teams will meet in Las Vegas on Feb. 11 for Super Bowl 58.
