The 2023 National Wheelchair Curling Championships kicked off on Monday afternoon at the Moose Jaw Curling Centre with all 12 teams getting into action. Both Saskatchewan teams finished the day 1-1. Moose Jaw's Marie Wright and Saskatchewan 1 started the day with an 8-7 loss to Nothern Ontario and then came back on Monday night and beat Alberta 17-1. Saskatchewan 2 fell 6-5 to Quebec in their first draw and then took down Newfoundland and Labrador 6-5. The action continues on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. A full schedule can be found HERE. 

It's off to Winnipeg for the Moose Jaw Warriors, as they kick off three games in four nights on Wednesday against the Ice. Things get rolling at 6:00 p.m. CST on Country 100 with the voice of the Warriors James Gallo on the call. 

Continuing with the Warriors playoffs packages are still on sale and make sure to pick yours up. Two options are available and can be bought at the Moose Jaw Events Centre Box Office or at the Warriors Office. 

The Moose Jaw Carpet One Mavericks #1 has forced a Game 3, as they took down the Parkland Fire in overtime on Monday in Melville. The third and deciding game goes Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bert Hunt Arena. 

Four Moose Jaw high school basketball teams are off to the provincial Hoopla tournament this weekend in Prince Albert. The Central girls, and boys teams, along with the Peacock boys squad, and Vanier girl's team will be taking part in the Hoopla tournament.

The Assiniboia Curling Club is hosting a 3-day men’s bonspiel from March 24 to 26. You can gather up a team of 4 and go play 3 games, and, enjoy a nice meal! The entry fee is $200 and for more info or to enter, you can call Bill at 306-640-9655.
