The Moose Jaw Warriors are preparing for their first pre-season game of the year on Thursday in Swift Current against the Broncos. Warriors training camp wrapped up on Sunday with 45 players suiting up for the annual Black/White Intrasquad game.

The Moose Jaw AAA Winmar Warriors first pre-season action is Saturday in Regina against the Pat Canadians. 

It was a busy Labour Day Weekend in the CFL. On Monday, the Calgary Stampeders stormed back in the fourth quarter to defeat the Edmonton Elks 35-31, while the early game saw the league-leading Toronto Argos top the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 41-28. The Saskatchewan Roughriders are coming off a thrilling 32-30 overtime win against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday at Mosaic Stadium. The two teams will meet in the Banjo Bowl at IG Field in Winnipeg on Saturday. Saskatchewan defensive end Pete Robertson will miss the game following a one-game suspension for headbutting Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros during Sunday's Labour Day Classic.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to move into the final wild card spot in the American League with a win in Oakland tonight. The Jays are half a game back of Texas for that final spot. Toronto is coming off a 6-5 win over the Athletics yesterday after scoring three runs in the 10th inning.

Congratulations to Reese Prior who shot a hole-in-one at the Deer Ridge Golf Club on Friday. The Lynbrook Golf Club is also reporting a couple of aces including Craig Lawrence who shot a hole-in-one on hole #7 and Marv Maier who marked a single stroke on hole #3.
