The Moose Jaw Warriors got 5-2 win in last night's game against the Edmonton Oil Kings at the Moose Jaw Events Centre, with Warriors Forward Atley Calvert scoring four times, with a natural hat trick in the first period, and adding another later. The team is still tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Medicine Hat Tigers. The team will travel to Red Deer to face the Rebels on Friday. 

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors next face off against the Regina Pat Canadians tomorrow at the Moose Jaw Events Centre starting at 7 p.m. 

In high school curling last night, City Championship finals took place - Peacock Girls won gold over the Cornerstone Girls who won silver 10-6, it was the Peacock Boys winning gold over the Vanier Boys winning silver 8-1, and Central Open won gold against Riverview open 9-6. All teams are moving on to the Districts in Assiniboia this weekend, along with third place Peacock Open. 

In Senior Boys basketball last night, Peacock beat Lumsden 76-46. Makungu Mukabazi was high scorer for Peacock with 18 points, and Ben Pollack was high scorer for Lumsden with 16 points.


Monday night saw Moose Jaw Mustangs product Chase Folk drafted 29th overall into Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

Last night in the NHL saw the Winnipeg Jets lose to the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0, Edmonton Oilers lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in a 3-1 game, and the Calgary Flames picked up a win over Boston 4-1.
