Team Saskatchewan beat Quebec but lost to Ontario Thursday at the Baseball Canada Cup in Quebec.

After opening the Baseball Canada Cup with a win over BC, Team Saskatchewan went into Day 2 action with loads of confidence.

Against Quebec they were down 4-1 going into the bottom of the fourth, but were able to put five runs on the board as they went on to upset the host team 8-4.

Undefeated through two games, they went into the late game against Ontario.  Unfortunately for the boys from the prairies, Ontario proved to be too much as they went on to win 6-1.

Saskatchewan is 2-1 after three games head coach Roger Anholt, who also coaches the Moose Jaw Cardinals, has been please with his teams performance.

"The level we're playing at, every game is a very difficult task for us.  We're just hoping to be successful and competing. To pull two out of three is a tremendous start," said Anholt.

Saskatchewan returns to action late Friday morning with the rematch against Ontario.  They close out the round robin against BC.
