Staff are still trying to get a handle on a noro-virus that's affecting patients and staff. Visitor restrictions remain in place at the hospital and at Extendicare due to a respiratory illness.

The doors remain locked and only family members on an approved list are allowed and, only one visitor at a time per hospital patient.

A noro-virus is now evident in 7 patients at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and, some staff have also come down with the illness.

The visitor restrictions in place at the hospital as the Five Hills Health Region attempts to stop the spread of a noro-virus.

Executive Director of Clinical Services Cheryl Craig says a respiratory infection continues to cause trouble over at Extendicare. "Extendicare still has one wing that is closed and they still have a visitor restriction in place."

Visitor restrictions will likely remain in effect for the next few days.
