Elections Saskatchewan is putting out a call for residents willing to work the polls for this year's election.

There is a shortage of poll workers in both of Moose Jaw's ridings, as well as in the Lumsden - Morse riding. Spokesperson Tim Kydd with more:

"We've seen a number of workers here who have gotten sick this week and have had to cancel shifts that they were trained for. So we're looking for workers, not only for Election Day on Monday, but also for the three days of Advance Voting that are left: today, Friday, and Saturday."

There's even an opportunity for the city's youth to get involved.

"A recent change in legislation means that people as young as 16 can work elections. Monday is a day off of school, so for anyone in Grade 11 or 12 who's interested, here's an opportunity to come forward, work for a day, and learn about democracy firsthand. And it's work that looks great on a resumé or scholarship application."

Training will be provided and you could make as much as $230 dollars for your service. If you're interested, call 306-694-8977.
