Moose Jaw Warrior Garrett Robinson is fighting an off ice battle today after being seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision Sunday morning.

He had emergency surgery in Regina Sunday. All we can do now is wait and join family, friends and fans and pray for him.

18 year old Garrett Robinson of the Moose Jaw Warriors, at last word, remained in critical condition. Robinson and two teammates were involved in a vicious two vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

It happened at 6:41 a.m., minutes after the Warriors' bus arrived home from a 3 game road trip. Joey Perricone, Carter Smith and Robinson were on their way to their homes when their car was broadsided by a pick up truck at the corner of Caribou Street and 4th North West. The car ended up a full half-block south and in the front yard of a Hochelaga Street home. The Jaws of Life were needed to free the boys.

Robinson suffered severe head trauma. His parents are with him now after arriving from Surrey, B.C. Sunday afternoon.

Smith and Perricone were treated and released from Union Hospital.

The driver of the truck suffered only minor injuries. Police believe alcohol was a factor. Charges against the driver of the truck are pending.
