The Moose Jaw Warriors couldn't pull out the win in Cranbrook as the Kootenay Ice won 4-1. The Moose Jaw Warriors were in Cranbrook, B.C. Friday night taking on the Kootenay Ice in the first game of quick weekend road trip for the Tribe.  The Tribe didn't have enough though falling to the Ice 4-1.

Both teams were held off the scoreboard until the 1:01 mark of the first period when Kootenay's Matt Fraser broke the tie with a power play goal.  The score would stay that way until the end of the second when Max Reinhart put the puck passed Warriors netminder Jeff Bosch with just three seconds left in the period to make it 2-0 Ice at the end of two.

The third period saw the scoring get started a little earlier as Tylan Stephens made it 3-0 for Ice with his 21st of the season.  Clinton Atkinson would get the Warriors on the board at the half way point of the third.  Jesse Ismond would squash any hopes of a come back for the Tribe as he gave the Ice the 4-1 win.

The Warriors Jeff Bosch made 32 saves in the loss while at the other end Todd Mathews made 16 saves for the win.

The Tribe went 0/4 on the power play and 3/5 on the penalty kill.

The Tribe return to action Saturday night in Medicine Hat.  Voice of the Warriors James Gallo will have all the action starting with the pre-game show at 8:15 on Country 100 (100.7 FM).
