Czechia opened the World Para Ice Hockey Championships in Moose Jaw with a 3-0 win over Korea in the first game of the competition.

Patrick Sedlacek scored the first goal for Team Czechia in the second period, which was quickly followed up another by Vaclav Hecko.

Michal Geier scored the final goal for Team Czechia in the third.

In the second game of the day, Team China came out of the gate strong, taking down the Italians 10-1 in their first game.

Fi Feng Shen score the first goal of the game and continued to play hard scoring half of Team China’s goals.

Stephan Kafmann scored the lone goal for Team Italy.

Team Germany's Bernhard Hering scored first in their match-up against Team Norway and went on to score a second in the third period helping to propel the Germans to 3-5 win over Norway. Ola Siseth goal two goals for Team Norway.

Team Canada’s first game is Monday night against Team Korea at 7.
