The Canadian Football League is officially delaying the start of training camps for the 2020 season.

The training camps around the league, which would have started May 17, were scheduled to lead into the start of the regular season June 11.  Rookie camps would have started May 13.

CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie issued a statement on the CFL website that said they are in the hands of public officials and the advice that they are providing governments, and that their  timetable will be dictated by the virus. Ambrosie said the league "will make further decisions when we can and share them with our fans and the public as soon as possible."

Regina was to have hosted the Saskatchewan Roughriders training camp this year with the University of Saskatchewan training site undergoing a field upgrade.

As of this moment, the regular season has yet to be delayed and the Grey Cup is still set for November 22 in Regina.
