As playoffs kick off this week, the Moose Jaw Warriors will face off against the Wheat Kings at the Moose Jaw Events Centre this Friday and Saturday. Puck drop for both games is at 7. The Warriors have to win the best of seven games to go to the next round of playoffs. 

The Saskatoon Blazers are U18 AAA hockey champions for a second straight season. The Blazers beat the Regina Pat Canadiens 5-3 last night, completing the sweep in the final series.

Dash's Saskatchewan Team 1 has a 4 and 0 record heading into day 4 of the 2024 Wheelchair Curling Championship happening at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Yesterday saw Dash's team win 6-4 against Ontario 1 and 9-2 against New Brunswick. Pederson's Saskatchewan Team 2 has a 2 and 3 record to start today, losing 8-6 to Quebec yesterday. 

The 1:30 draw will see Saskatchewan 1 against British Columbia, and Saskatchewan 2 against Alberta 2. At 6:30, it'll be Saskatchewan 1 against Manitoba, and Saskatchewan 2 against Ontario 1. 

Over to the NHL yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs lost 6-3 to the New Jersey Devils, Edmonton Oilers beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-3 in overtime, the Calgary Flames lost 3-1 to the Chicago Blackhawks, and the Montreal Canadiens doubled up on the Colorado Avalanche, 2-1.
