The Peewee AA Warriors went into Swift Current to battle the third place Broncos on Thursday and gave them everything that they could handle in a 4-4 tie.

Caleb Newkirk opened the scoring for Moose Jaw with a power play goal on 1:21 into the second period.

The teams would trade goals over the rest of the period with Swift Current answering only 1:23 later on a shorthanded goal by Hudson Darby.

Rowan Calvert would put the Warriors back in front just over four minutes later and Jace Bymoen tied the game back up less than three minutes after that to send the game into the third tie at 2-2.

The Warriors came out firing to start the third with a pair of goals from Haydn Hudyma at 16:03 and 10:13 to put Moose Jaw in front by two.

Swift Current cut the lead down to one with 7:02 to go on a goal from Brayden Sumner and Bymoen’s second of the game tied things up with 4:08 to play.

The Warriors are off now until they head to Estevan on Jan. 6-7. They enter the break with a 4-10-2 record, which is good enough for fourth place, eight points back of Swift Current.
