Moose Jaw defenders try to stop the Regina Knights attack on Monday at the Kinsmen.

Christopher Fall powered the Moose Jaw Midget Mustangs to their first win of the season on Monday night at the Kinsmen as they beat the Regina Knights 8-6.

Fall had all eight goals for the Mustangs, who battled back from two three-goal deficts.  "I had a good touch, just scoring everything," said Fall after the win.  "All my teammates were setting me up, Chance Dalgarno was a big part of my goals, every single goal, I think, he either assisted me or had a part in it.  He was definitely one of the reasons I kept scoring."

Moose Jaw fell behind 4-1 in the first period, but Fall scored with just 30 seconds left in the frame to cut the lead to two, he says that was huge goal for them, "It was definitely a momentum changer, I was surprised.  Our team just started pulling it back up, we thought we actually have a chance now, goals get scored quickly."

Moose Jaw took the lead late in third and then added some insurance with under two minutes to for the win.  Head coach Rick Eldstrom says he just preached patience to the boys, "Had to get some confidence in my goaltender because he let in four goals on six shots in the first period, calmed him down and he's the core of the team and we supported him.  I told him that we'd support him and we did by getting a couple of goals."

The Mustangs will meet back up with the Knights on Wednesday night in Regina.
